In her new collection, Bugs & Butterflies, designer Genna Blackburn was inspired by her childhood memories of searching for caterpillars and picking wildflowers. These prints share the wonder that comes from exploring the outdoors, after the snow of a bitter winter has melted away. Featuring patterns of bright insects and versatile, modern coordinates, this collection is great for any DIY project.
Genna Blackburn is a surface designer and illustrator in Detroit, Michigan. Inspired by her love of plants and animals, (especially her pets who make regular appearances in her illustrations), her work is a playful exploration of shape and color stemming from her background as a graphic designer.
Genna received her BFA in Graphic Design in 2006 and worked at a design studio until 2014 when she took the leap to work for herself. While she designs for a variety of projects including stationery and art, repeating patterns are one of her favorite things to create because their puzzle-like nature provides a challenge that is very satisfying to see come together.
Machine wash cold, delicate, tumble dry low. Do not bleach.
